BICUADRO is an International, award-winning firm, based in Rome.

The team is involved in a variety of projects worldwide that go from small to large scale. BICUADRO’ s design is inspired by the context, both historic and environmental and aims to be the continuation of the Italian tradition in design excellence.

We believe that good design shall be thoughtful of the inhabitants and of the natural environment while being tailored on the clients needs.

Our work is strongly influenced by the Past and committed to the Future, always aspiring to the ideal of Beauty as opportunity to improve humanity’s life quality.

We have a global vision and a local inspiration: from private houses to large scale office buildings our projects are conceived to suit a “unique” client with his own personality and a “unique” place with its own identity; moreover our concept design is always set to preserving this identity.

BICUADRO considers itself as a group of “visionaires” and innovators aiming to make the world a better place to live in for everybody. The firm specialized in contemporary design and innovative solutions both for private and corporate clients.

BICUADRO’s Architecture is based on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) philosophy whose core concept is that if we as designers individually get to construct smart-energy saving buildings with capacity to save just a bit more resources than a whatever building of same type and size and if equal approach is followed by a large number of architects, then we can make a difference to stop Global Warming by reducing waste of material, limited resources and so energy for the planet. At our practice we mix the latest technologies available in the design process such as BIM (building information modeling) and real-time tools together with traditional techniques, hand drawings and craftworks in order to produce a design that is “timeless”.

BICUADRO ARCHITECTS L.L.P was established in 2008 as an Architecture Partnership between Lucia Catenacci, Francesco Bezzi, Massimiliano Brugia and Valerio Campi, all with M.Arch in Architecture at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Faculty of Architecture  “Vallegiulia”.

Since the very early projects the firms gained International recognitions and was published on Architecture and Design Magazines, with publications translated in more that 10 languages and edited in several countries worldwide.

In 2010 Bicuadro Architects was elected as “Best Young Italian Architects” of the year and participated in relevant lectures in Universities and museums such as the MAXXI Museum of Contemporary Art  in Rome.

In 2012 Bicuadro joined “The Venice Biennale” and had one its design, 1st Prize winner in an International competition, exhibited at the Malaysia pavilion.

Since the early years the design group focused on challenging projects in some of the fastest emerging countries, giving its contribution in sustainable developments for cities as Accra, (Ghana – Africa), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia – South East Asia) and Ulan-Bator (Mongolia – Northern Asia).

In 2015 the practice evolved its structure into L.L.C. with a company named “Bicuadro Architecture S.r.l. S.t.p”, shaped in order to responding to the growing demand for high-end architectural and interior design projects while another company, named “Bicuadro Home design and Consulting” was incorporated in order to providing the clients a complete follow up to special interior design projects with General Contracting solutions (G.C.).

BICUADRO FACTORY is not only an Architecture office. Beside being the firm’s architectural Manifesto it is designed to become a place both for architects, designers and artists where these diciplines are supposed to contaminates each other. The place was an old Alfa Romeo cars factory into a dismissed manufacturing area right out of Rome, built in the sixties on top of the ancient roman “Via Flaminia”, consular way of access to the city from North, used from thousand of years during the empire and over. The factory was closed long time ago and the building stayed unoccupied. t

BICUADRO re-conceived the interior spaces and created a loft-like co-working building without varying the original features of the place. The new office is the opportunity to come to a fusion of contemporary minimalist design, typically from BICUADRO, with reminiscences of the industrial glorious past of the MADE IN ITALY.
